also holy fuck with the commercials NBC
I try to look for a Sky Sports stream if possible but I couldn’t find one today
The F1 director cuts away from the action, and US networks cut away for commercials, I can’t win

yeah - even the announcer folks on the F1 feed were wondering what was going on. Turned out it was the best 10 seconds of the whole race and they cut away from it...

Rossi took the lead on the first lap and then just pulled out a 30 second lead by the end of the race.
Assen should be great and Austria will be another step forward in the Hamilton-Mercedes march towards WDC/WCC titles.

That was insane. Like there TEN DRIVERS in the 28 seconds from Will Power back. I don’t know how Rossi did it.
That battle at the end with Herta, Dixon, Rosenqvist and Hinch was fun to watch.

Herta really is something else - had his own issues (I think it was the refuelling stop that went long for him) but for a kid like that to be fighting up front is incredible. Never mind that another kid (albeit a Steinbrenner) basically owns the team, too.
As a Canadian I like to see Hinchcliffe do well, it’s a damn shame about Wickens...

I never thought much of him since I only knew him from his brief stint in F1, but fucking hell this guy can drive (and obviously there’s his Indy 500 win, too).
Honestly, it’d be awesome if there was F1 driver participation in other series - around 20-30 years ago it wouldn’t have been uncommon for F1 drivers to also have driven Indycar (or CART I guess at the time). It’d be awesome to see Lewis Hamilton try his hand at Indycar and seeing drivers like Rossi or Sato have a go in the current Mercedes.
It was cool to see Alonso go for WEC/Le Mans as well as the Indy 500, seeing Hulk win Le Mans with Porsche, Norris and Alonso at Daytona 24, etc. It’s kind of why I wish the F1 calendar was shorter because it’d give more of these opportunities plus cut out some garbage tracks anyway (although we’d probably end up losing tracks like Monza and Spa in favour of fucking bullshit like Sochi and Abu Dhabi).
